Macron tells Trump France is a 'loyal and steadfast ally' in NATO, hits back at 'imperialist' Putin

French President Emmanuel Macron has recently underscored France's unwavering commitment to NATO and expressed concerns over Russia's aggressive actions in Europe. In a series of statements and diplomatic engagements, Macron emphasized France's loyalty to its allies and criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin's expansionist policies. France's Commitment to NATO At a European Union summit in Brussels, Macron reaffirmed France's dedication to NATO, highlighting the nation's role as a "loyal and steadfast ally." He addressed concerns about the United States' commitment to the alliance under President Donald Trump's administration, emphasizing that Europe's future should not be dictated by external powers. Macron stated, "El futuro de Europa no se decide en Washington ni en Moscú," which translates to "The future of Europe is not decided in Washington nor in Moscow."  huffingtonpost.es In light of escalating tensions...

Zelensky says US and Ukraine will hold talks on ending the war next week in Saudi Arabia

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that senior officials from Ukraine and the United States are scheduled to meet in Saudi Arabia next week to discuss potential pathways to end the ongoing conflict with Russia. This development marks a significant step towards diplomatic engagement following recent tensions between Kyiv and Washington.  axios.com Background of U.S.-Russia Negotiations In February 2025, American and Russian delegations convened in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to explore avenues for resolving the war in Ukraine. Notably, Ukraine was not invited to these discussions, raising concerns in Kyiv about being excluded from negotiations directly impacting its sovereignty and territorial integrity.  en.wikipedia.org The U.S. delegation, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, aimed to assess Russia's commitment to peace. Rubio emphasized the importance of engaging Russia to determine the authenticity of its public and private demands regarding the conflict....

Marine Le Pen Timidly Distances Herself from Donald Trump

Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s far-right National Rally (RN), has long been associated with populist movements that challenge traditional political establishments. Her nationalist rhetoric, opposition to immigration, and skepticism toward the European Union have drawn comparisons to former U.S. President Donald Trump. However, as Trump remains a deeply polarizing figure both in the United States and abroad, Le Pen has taken a cautious approach in managing her association with him. Rather than fully embracing Trump’s brand of politics, she has sought to distance herself—though in a reserved and strategic manner. A Delicate Balancing Act Le Pen’s political trajectory has been shaped by the need to broaden her appeal beyond the far-right base that has historically supported her party. In past elections, her close ties to Trump and other nationalist leaders, such as Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, were seen as assets among populist voters. However, as she eyes a potential victory in France’...

By Weakening the Atlantic Alliance, Trump Is Helping the Putin-Xi Partnership

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s rhetoric and policies regarding NATO and America’s European allies have sent shockwaves through the Atlantic Alliance. His repeated criticism of NATO members, threats to reduce U.S. commitments, and calls for European nations to contribute more to their defense have led to growing concerns about the stability of the Western alliance. While Trump frames his approach as a strategy to make NATO allies more self-reliant, the reality is that his actions weaken transatlantic unity and, in turn, play into the hands of America’s primary geopolitical rivals: Russia and China. The growing partnership between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping is largely fueled by their shared goal of countering Western influence. By undermining NATO and transatlantic cohesion, Trump is inadvertently strengthening this alliance and making it easier for Russia and China to challenge Western interests. Trump’s NATO Criticism and Its Impact on the A...

Haha I look SO tired

I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror today and had to laugh. Not a joyful laugh, but one of those tired chuckles that says, Well, this is what we’re working with. My eyes have that unmistakable heaviness, dark circles subtly painting their way underneath like an artist who didn't quite finish the job. My hair, somehow, has both too much volume and absolutely none at all—messy but not in the effortless way people admire. And my posture? A slouch that screams, I need sleep. It’s funny how exhaustion sneaks up on you. You don’t always notice it until you see yourself through an unfiltered lens. Maybe it’s been a few too many late nights, a few too many hours scrolling when I should be resting, or maybe it’s just life. There’s something oddly comforting about knowing that most people can relate—everyone has had that moment of looking in the mirror and realizing just how drained they appear. I suppose there’s a difference between being tired and looking tired. I’ve had days w...

Don’t worry, I took the toothpicks out before they ate it

It all started with a dinner party. A simple, well-intended gathering of friends, meant to be a relaxed evening of laughter, good food, and great company. I had spent the entire day preparing the menu—appetizers, entrees, dessert—meticulously planning every dish to perfection. But, as always, things didn’t go quite as smoothly as I had hoped. The star of the evening was supposed to be my famous stuffed chicken breasts. A dish I had perfected over the years—tender, juicy, and filled with a delicious blend of spinach, cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes. The only catch? To keep the stuffing in place while the chicken cooked, I had to use toothpicks. A minor detail, really. But one that, in hindsight, could have been disastrous. The evening began with a few minor hiccups. The salad dressing wasn’t quite right, the bread was a little over-toasted, and I may have spilled some sauce on my shirt right before the guests arrived. But these were all small things. Nothing compared to what nearly hap...

In My Sourdough Era

Lately, I’ve found myself deep in what I like to call my sourdough era —a time of patience, creativity, and flour-dusted countertops. It all started as a casual curiosity, a passing thought about how people have been baking bread for centuries without commercial yeast. That curiosity quickly spiraled into an obsession with fermentation, hydration ratios, and the perfect crust. There’s something almost poetic about sourdough. Unlike store-bought bread, which is quick and predictable, sourdough demands time and attention. It starts with the starter—a living, breathing culture of wild yeast and bacteria that you have to feed, nurture, and sometimes even name (mine’s called “Doughreen”). At first, I wasn’t sure I had the patience for it. Watching bubbles slowly form in a jar over days seemed like an odd hobby, but as soon as I baked my first loaf, I understood the magic. The process of making sourdough has a rhythm to it. Feeding the starter becomes a ritual, much like tending to a plant...
